What's critical to capturing "The Record" in court?

Feedback we’ve collected from numerous court clerks and administrators helped Speech2Data developers to recognize that a critical component of capturing “The Record” is to identify who is speaking.
The traditional practice is a linear process of monitoring and logging speaker ID’s throughout court hearings and proceedings. This requires time, significant discipline and a considerable attention span - not dissimilar to capturing the record as a verbatim (real-time) stenographer.
Speech2Data recorders by contrast, rely on a licensed technology, integrated into the recorders design, known as “Dan Dugan Speech System” (DD). One feature of the system relies on the Speech2Data recorder to automatically ID microphones in a courtroom by reporting the person speaking as a component of “The Record” in the audio file. You can manually ID the speaker if you wish to, but it is no longer necessary.
